This stainless steel and 18k gold automatic Cartier Santos Octagon has the rarer grey dial without the Roman numerals. Model reference 0907.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Sadly we don’t have the papers for this watch, but when checking those Santos 0907 models for sale that do have papers the range seems to be between 1979 and 1990, so we have picked a mid point year as a likely production date.
CONDITION
For many ladies, a Cartier watch is the dream. For not much more than the gold plated quartz Must de Cartier, you get some serious upgrades with this Santos – an automatic movement that also has a seconds hand, the 18k gold octagonal bezel and the very obvious steel and gold screw Cartier bracelet. The grey dial doesn’t have the roman numerals like many Cartier watches, which leaves the dial uncluttered and easy to read. Unlike the gold print Cartier name on the dial, which does not stand out, yet the gold hands do. The hexagonal crown has the faceted blue stone inset, which is not cracked or chipped. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
