HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This watch was sold to us as being from 2011, but we knew that couldn’t be true. The case back is engraved for T&E, 12.05.2011 which must have been a significant date for T&E, but this model watch was not available until late 2023 so the engraving may have been for an anniversary.
CONDITION
Being still available new has advantages – you can read about it on TAG Heuer’s own website here, or read an independent review on ablogtowatch here. The movement technology is interesting, allowing light to pass through the dial to charge the battery (for up to six months!). But the case and bracelet, all machined from grade 2 titanium, that is this watch’s USP in our opinion. It is incredibly light – half the weight of a similar sized Omega Seamaster in steel, which does make it very comfortable to wear for longer periods. The sand blasted finish is also handsome, and great if you don’t like fingerprints on your watch. You also get sapphire crystal with good anti reflective coating, and personally we like the mint green seconds hand. The Solargraph movement is now available on the Formula 1 ranges, but they cost more than this pre owned example of the better Aquaracer. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The watch is signed on the dial, case, crown and clasp.
This watch will be supplied with the original inner and outer presentation boxes, our cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
