This Marvin Revue comes in the original box, and has the original strap and buckle still fitted, so has not been used much.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
In 1961 “MSR Holding” (Manufacture Suisse Reunis) is founded. It brings together the Revue, Vulcain, Buser, Phoenix and Marvin brands. But in 1987 these were rebranded under the Revue Thommen label, and then the Marvin Revue name was lost. Looking at the styling and the movement production dates, we believe this watch was made circa 1983.
CONDITION
This watch is likely to have spent most of its life sitting in the blue velvet box it came in. The leather strap is stamped with the ЯR logo, as is the crown and buckle. The buckle is quite tarnished, but it is secure and original. If you want a generic buckle fitting in gold tone then we can do that for free, and we will include the original buckle in the watch box. The strap does have some wear, but it is original and worth keeping with the watch. The gold plated case, with the stepped bezel, is in very good order as is the dial. The glass has some very light scuffs near 1, but you do have to look closely to see them. Inside is an ETA 7 jewel quartz movement, with trimmer, caliber number 556.112. This has a quick set date feature that is working perfectly. The stainless steel back is stamped with possibly the model code H4615A, and does have a light scratch from a battery change tool slip. We will fit a new Renata battery prior to sending this out.
