This Dunhill Millennium is quite a rare, high specification watch and with it’s box and papers it is a great find.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the original guarantee, stamped by Alfred Dunhill of St James, London, we can accurately date this watch to being sold in June 1988.
CONDITION
Highly original and difficult to find as nice an example. The stainless steel case has a matt finish and an 18k gold plated bezel, and this theme is picked up on the bracelet with it’s plated centre section which is showing some wear but this is more noticeable in the enlarged photos than on the wrist. Like a lot of watches from this period, it is small and slim by modern standards, meaning this is suitable for both men and women now. The ETA 955.412, as used by Zenith and Tag Heuer among others, is working perfectly and has a quick set date function via that helixed crown that is unique to Dunhill. We have a magazine article from 1990 about the Millennium range, and at the time these models sold between £495 and £4,995, so were at the luxury end of the market. As well as the box and papers we also have two spare links , and the bracelet has the signed Dunhill butterfly clasp.
This watch will be supplied with the original box, papers, spare links and our Certificate of Authenticity.
