HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The very helpful people at Mido have identified that this watch was made in 1956 from the model and serial number.
CONDITION
This is a very high specification watch for the time, with both automatic winding and a calendar all set into a ladies case. The watch probably came with a leather strap, judging by the box, but the expanding bracelet suits the watch well and isn’t showing much wear at all. If you would prefer a leather strap then just ask – changing the strap is easy as the lugs are drilled. The gold plating is worn on the high spots of the lugs, but this looks far worse in the photos than in real life. The screw down case back is another higher end feature. The dial does have patina, and the acrylic crystal has a hairline crack between 7 and 8, but overall this watch has a lot going for it.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
