HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The papers are completed with the matching serial number on the case back of the watch, but the date of sale is not filled out which is frustrating. We know that in the mid nineties Cartier switched the model number system from four numbers to the format on this watch, so it has to be circa 1995 or newer.
CONDITION
The Must de Cartier watches were hugely popular, but only one model had a calendar and seconds hand and it was also the largest case size – and it was this model. With a wide bezel the 21 models did pick up scratches, but this one is very good. The movement is a Cartier 87.06 quartz with quick set date and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The black leather strap is stamped Cartier and has plenty of wear left in it, plus we have a brand new in packaging Cartier red leather strap to include with the sale. The Cartier deployant buckle is also still fitted. One case back screw if different to the others, but it is secure
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers, spare genuine Cartier red leather strap (unopened) and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
