HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 2020, but it wasn’t actually sold according to the paperwork until 2021.
CONDITION
Spring drive was first launched in 1999, and it was a completely new and unique to Seiko improvement on watch performance. It is more accurate than a conventional escapement, allows a longer power reserve, silent, gives a smoother sweep seconds hand than anything else and requires less maintenance. There are no batteries or capacitors to replace either, as you can either hand wind of automatically wind a conventional mainspring. The calibre 9R65 can run on a full wind for 72 hours and at an accuracy of +/- 1 second per day. The case and bracelet are beautifully finished as Grand Seiko are, and being made from titanium it is lighter than a similar sized steel watch. The nickname snowflake name refers to the delicate pattern on the dial, which is highly sought after. Even Grand Seiko use the name Snowflake now, so not sure it still counts as a nickname. In short, this Grand Seiko has everything going for it. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation boxes, papers, cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
