Les Grande Classiques has been a dress watch in the Longines range for a long time, and this is a classic design. Model reference L5.632.2.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This watch comes with a Longines warranty card filled in from Micheal Jones Jewellers, along with a card from them offering a free first battery too. Both are dated 22nd March 2000, and both have what looks like a shop stock number on it rather than the serial number on the case back of the watch. However as they came with the package we have no reason to suspect that this watch wasn’t sold in March 2000.
CONDITION
With looks that could be from the 1950’s but up to date technology, Les Grande Classiques are still popular with good reason. At first this watch looks in perfect condition, but it isn’t. The case back has numerous light scratches, and the dial is clean barring one small scratch. Other than those it is good. The quartz movement is a Longines branded but ETA based one and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. This dress watch qualifies as an ultra thin watch, with a total height of just 5.0mm. The original, integrated bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required.
This watch will be supplied with the original inner and outer presentation boxes, papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.
