A scarce and attractive Zeno de Luxe pilots watch that was fitted with a movement known as the Wehrmachtswerk (German Army).
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
We have it on very good authority that this watch was produced in 1990, from the owner of Zeno Watch no less. We bought this watch directly from him.
CONDITION
When he was offered a quantity of unused Unitas 6428 movements, the owner of Zeno watch snapped them up. Opportunities like this don’t happen every day. Some are still being used in brand new watches, such as this one, and the watch we have here was one of the first to used these NOS movements. These strong and proven movements were made circa 1970, before Unitas disappeared into the bigger ETA group starting in 1979.
This watch doesn’t appear to have been worn a lot. There are a couple of small marks on the crown side of the case, and that is it. The dial is perfect, as is the glass and hands. The case back says this watch has a UT6380 movement, but it is the 13 ligne, 17 jewel UT6428 inside. The leather strap is new.
This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
