A higher range watch than a standard Seiko, the Lassale name has an interesting history. Model reference 4N20-0018
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in September 1989.
CONDITION
Jean Lassale was a swiss watchmaker who quickly became renown for making the thinnest watch movements – one mechanical movement was 1.2mm thin. When the company got into some financial difficulty the rumour was that Omega would buy them, but it was actually Seiko that stepped up in 1979 and bought the Lassale brand. Seiko used the name to launch a range of mid and upper range watches, mainly targeted at the US market until they stopped in the early 1990’s. The styling is classically simple, and both the dial and glass are in great condition. The plating is good, with some wear to the tips of the lugs which is difficult to see with the naked eye. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
