This ultrathin 1986 Longines Presence is in fabulous original condition, right down to the original strap. Model reference 6502.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the supplied paperwork, which matches the serial number of the watch, we can show that this watch was sold in September 1986.
CONDITION
This is a classic dress watch from 1986. The ultra thin case(<5mm) is gold plated, and contains a quartz movement, which was very typical for the time as quartz was what customers wanted in 1986. The movement used is Longines 974.2, which will surprise some people to see a quartz watch of this period having metal bridges, decorated with Côtes de Genève striping the common misconception was all quartz watches were cheap, but this is a Longines. The date does occasionally stick, but ti can be quickly adjusted via the quick set feature on the crown. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is the original Longines example, and has life left in it. It could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred, but the new strap would not be by Longines. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, buckle and strap.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers, our cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
