HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number hallmark on the case back movement we can accurately date this watch to being made sold assayed engraved in 19.
CONDITION
When Pulsar watches were first launched they were very expensive items. The P1 and P2 LED models were ground breaking, and worn by Presidents on 18k gold cases and bracelets. But Pulsar were bought by Seiko, who re positioned the then failing brand into being Seiko’s more affordable ranges. So much like a vintage Tudor has many Rolex parts, this Pulsar has many Seiko parts. This one has the screw down screw to help with that 100M claied water resistance (that was when new – do not get old watches wet now!). The movement is a set and forget quartz affair, with quick set day and date. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The case has a few marks, and the dial has some patina, but the glass is good and overall it is a good looking piece. The original bracelet is quite short, but could be swapped for a leather strap if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
