With a funky purple dial, this is a Seiko automatic that stands out among similar watches. Model reference 7005-7080.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in December 1971.
CONDITION
Yes, the dial is the unique selling point to this watch – in over 500 Seiko watches we have offered, we have never seen another purple original Seiko dial like this. We have taken the video outdoors on this occasion, just to show the dial in natural light. But this watch also has a larger than average stainless steel case, with very strong lugs, which in good order. The movement is the 17 jewel Seiko 7005A, which is automatic wind only and has quick set date. The watch probably came on a bracelet originally, but that has been lost over the years. The grey rubber strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. The watch is signed on the dial, case and movement.
