HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Whilst we don’t have the original papers for this model, the watches with paperwork all seem to focus on 2020.
CONDITION
Bronze cased watches have a softness look to them that other metals don’t ever show. The high points will stay shiny, where the low points will get darker with patina, and over the years this makes every one different. Not that you will likely see anyone else wearing this model, given that only 500 were ever produced – that is likely less than one per authorised dealer! The graduated blue, lined dial is reminiscent of the Patek Philippe Nautilus, whereas the way the strap attaches is more like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, yet the Aikon still claims its own look. This example is powered by a Swiss quartz movement, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is the orginal Maurice Lacroix item, and has light wear new. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, buckle and strap.
