The Tank MC was Cartier updating the Tank to a larger size, and incorporating their own movement. Model reference 3590 or W5330001.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This reference was officially launched in late 2013, but most reviews such as this one come from 2015. Sadly we do not have the box or papers for this watch.
CONDITION
The MC in Tank MC stands for Manufacturer Cartier, and one other way you can spot their own in house movements is that Cartier watches that use other peoples movements rarely have a sapphire exhibition back, but this one does. It shows the nicely finished calibre 1904-PS, 27 jewel automatic movement off nicely. PS in the calibre stands for Petite Seconds, shown on the dial at six and you also have a quick set calendar at 3. Everything is running and working perfectly, including the hacking seconds. The case has light marks and scratches from being worn, which could be polished out if you wanted to have that done (we don’t polish watches here). The clasp is the original Cartier item, also in 18k rose gold to match the case. The leather strap has been worn and shows some signs of that but is not bad, and it is an original Cartier strap.
