The Atlas Lady 30mm model picks up the roman numeral design from the Atlas clock outside the Tiffany flagship boutique on 5th Avenue.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Tiffany have been making Atlas watches since 1983, and jewellery in the Atlas range since 1995, but in 2009 they launched the Atlas redesign, including this Lady model, at Baselworld. It began to be phased out circa 2020 for a different design, so we can only say that this watch can not be older than 2009 but may be newer.
CONDITION
The split roman numerals, half on the dial and half on the bezel, is the stand out design feature on these. Having half the numeral on the bezel, relief cut into the steel, gives a striking effect. There is a nice touch around the date window at 6 too, being heart shaped. The jet black dial is covered by anti reflective curved sapphire crystal, with polished dauphine hands being clear to read The movement is a Swiss quartz, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred. We have transferred the folding buckle style clasp to the new strap. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and clasp.
This watch will be supplied with our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
