This men’s Longines La Grande Classique has a new Longines strap and buckle, and a Longines service box with it. Model reference L4 637 2.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Without papers these are hard to date, but we have found another watch with the exact same model reference with an inscription on the case back from FIFA for 2000. That might be as close as we can get for this watch.
CONDITION
The La Grande Classique is a classic Swiss dress watch. The ultrathin case (<5mm), zero complications and blacked hands on white dial combination is timeless, and meets all the rules for a dress watch. Compromises were made – the case is gold plated, not solid gold, and the movement is quartz and not manual wind, but that keeps the price down – we do have Piaget and Patek’s that will meet those extra requirements, but at a healthy exta cost. This particular one stood out as the case is in good shape, the dial very clean, and the new strap and service box are also very nice to haves. Inside is a quartz set and forget ETA based movement, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The Longines leather strap is new, and has a new Longines buckle too. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, buckle and strap.
This watch will be supplied with an original Longines service box, our branded cleaning cloth and our Certificate of Authenticity.
