A classic hand winding Poljot 3133 Chronograph watch in fantastic condition, with a more conservative design than some.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The 3133 Chronograph movement first came out in 1976, and ran to 2011, so we have a large window.  From comparing designs in books and on websites we see the case shape on this example was used in the eighties and nineties, but as this watch has ‘Made in Russia’ on the dial instead of  ‘Made in USSR’ we know it must post date 1992.  We have picked circa 1995, but if you have any other information that might correct us (or confirm our accuracy!) then please do contact us.

CONDITION

The upsides with the 3133 chronograph are the low prices and good reliability.  The downside is they are normally in plated cases, and this is no exception.  However this example, which came from a well respected watchmakers collection, is in great condition and probably didn’t see much wrist time.  The case has a small ding near 7, which is shown in some of the enlarged photos.  The curved glass crystal is in nice shape.  The date works as a semi quickset method, as shown in the video, and the chronograph functions all snap back to zero perfectly as you would expect.  The gold rings around the subdials are a nice touch, and the dial itself has a matt finish.  The leather strap is new and could be switched for a different design or colour if requested.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.
