This Swiss Empress ladies watch has a seventeen jewel manual wind movement, and what could be the original box and papers.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Annoyingly, the papers are stamped 1st February, but do not give a year! However this movement, the AS 1977, was produced between 1972 and 1978, and this version is the later 1977/4 so we are happy to say circa 1976.
CONDITION
The watch may not have been worn. There is one small scratch on the acrylic glass which might have been done in storage, but otherwise this is a difficult watch to fault. the guarantee isn’t marked Swiss Empress, but is of the right period, and also included are the instructions for the bracelet clasp – this bracelet can be adjusted with no special tools.

SIZE
Approximately 17.0 mm wide including the unsigned crown, 7.5 mm thick. The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 165 mm.
