This Helbros men’s watch can not only tell the time, but also the day, date and month of the year – all using a mechanical mechanism.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Helbros registered this curly h logo in 1946, so this watch must be later than that. The movement was launched circa 1950, so we are going to use that as our base point – it also fits the fashion and technology used in this watch.
CONDITION
The condition of this is very good for a watch of this age. The dial has faded, but not been repainted, and often watches from this era will be stained with cigarette smoke. The case is chromed, ad has some wear to the high points on the lugs but is otherwise good. The back is stainless steel. Inside you have a movement stamped for Helbros and they called it a calibre 107, but in fact this seventeen jewel movement is actually an AS 1380. To set the calendar you first wind the hands past midnight to set the day of the week, and then the date pointer can be quick set via the bottom pusher, and the month via the pusher at 2. These pushers are inset into the case, you you will need a toothpick or similar. They are all working smoothly. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
