A sold out model, the Z Hunter is the latest watch from GPHG winners CIGA Design, and features a new in house movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This watch model was only launched in late April 2025, following a sold out Indiegogo campaign. It is currently not available on the CIGA design website at time of press.
CONDITION
In 2021 CIGA Design won the equivalent of a watch Oscar at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) awards for their Blue Planet model. This made the watch world take notice of the company, that most of us had not heard of until they were nominated. Four years on and they have launched the Z Hunter model range, in either light or dark grey DLC coated 316L stainless steel. In order to pull of the design, they had to develop their own movement, calibre CD07, which is automatic and has hacking – you really notice the visible balance wheel stop when the crown is pulled. The apple green lume on the hand tips does mean this is easy to read, which can not be said for many skeleton watches. The bracelet is long and comes with quick release springbars and a tool to size it – strangely the bracelet is sent not fixed to the watch (we can fix it and size it if you prefer). Because of this we have pictured the watch on a plain black leather strap, which we can include too if you want.
