This limited edition Gen 2 Blue Monster is a very collectible Seiko, especially in this condition. Model reference 4R36-02B0 or SRP455.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in April 2013, but the paperwork (with matching serial number) shows it was sold in June 2014.
CONDITION
There will be two types of people reading this advert – one of them will have been looking for a Blue Monster for a while, and the other will be looking to find out why this watch is the price it is. Even though this is a full set, with extra bracelet, it is still priced cheaper than the two other watches we can currently find for sale, so if you fall into the first type then this might be your opportunity! Made to celebrate the 100th anniversary since the first Seiko wristwatch (and that is on the hang tag too), Seiko upgraded the popular Monster divers watch that was first launched in 2000. They started by upgrading the movement, going from 21 jewels to 24, and adding hacking and handwinding that the earlier Monster watches didn’t have (they were nicknamed Monster due to the lume plots looking like sharp teeth). Only the limited edition got the graduated blue dial and concave blue bezel, and the hands and crown are gold plated. They only came on the blue rubber strap, but the first and only owner of this watch spent extra and bought a genuine Seiko bracelet so the rubber strap is unworn. Condition is close to unworn on the entire watch.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation boxes, both strap and bracelet, hang tag, spare link,warranty papers and the instruction book, and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
