This is the full size, automatic SMP300 (SeaMaster Professional), which is the model most people want – including 007! Model reference 2531.8000.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the rear of the lug we can accurately date this watch to being made in 2006. Although we have the warranty card, stamped with the same serial number, the date of sale was not completed.
CONDITION
The SMP300 in this set up was first launched in 1993, and two years later Pierce Brosnan wore a model just like this in his Bond debut Goldeneye. It was an instant success and the looks continue into the current model range – this model has a similar bracelet, wavy dial, helium escape valve at 10 and is £5,600. While the modern watch has a co-axial movement the watch we have has a chronometer rated automatic Omega calibre 1120 movement with a more conventional escapement. The bracelet and case has been professionally refinished, hence it looks so good. It wasn’t the deepest polish, as you can till see some marks on the bezel, but it is much improved without taking too much metal away. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath.
This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box, papers, hang tag with serial number and our Certificate of Authenticity.
This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
