This pale pink TAG Heuer Alter Ego was only available for one year, and has the smaller 25mm case. Model reference WAA1412.BA0760.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Alter Ego range was launched in 1999 as Tag Heuer’s first female only range. Initially they were only 29mm cases, but as time moved on the company listened to demand for a smaller model and the 25mm came out in 2001. In 2004, the last year these were in the catalogue, only the 25mm case was still listed and this was also the first and last year the pale pink dial version was offered, so this watch has to have been made in 2004.
CONDITION
Often with TAG Heuer models there is a large choice of individual models within a range, and the Alter Ego was no different. As well as the two case sizes, you could have a variety of dials, the case made from steel, bi metal or solid 18k gold, and that case could be inset with diamonds (The steel ‘river of diamonds’ case models came in at a whopping $14,500!). You could get these without the bracelet, but the bracelet is the better model in most peoples opinion and easier to find too. All were fitted with ETA quartz movements, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The signature design feature is the ridged bracelet that matches the case perfectly, which while nicely made does attract light scratches. The bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The pink dial dial is very good and protected by a faultless sapphire crystal.
