A 1995 ladies Ellesse watch, complete with all the papers and the original box.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the paperwork supplied with this watch we know the watch was sold in December 1995.
CONDITION
The watch is a high specification divers watch, particularly for a ladies watch (they tend to be more cosmetic than real tool watches, but this example bucks that trend.) It certainly wasn’t cheap, as the paperwork shows a retail price of £275. The specification includes a uni-directional bezel, screw on case back, screw down crown and safety clasp on the bracelet.
We have all the links to the bracelet, which also has a feature to be able to extend the bracelet over your wetsuit. The bracelet does have some stretch, but has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath so is ready to wear. The glass does have some marks, but is still clear enough not to be an issue. The ETA movement has a new battery and also features quick set date.
