It is far rarer to find an automatic Seamaster from 1984 than the quartz versions – Omega sold a lot more quartz watches then. Model reference 366.0845.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1984. This Seamaster model was in production for a while – it was launched in 1977 according to Omega’s own website.
CONDITION
We like quartz watches here, but there are collectors who prefer a mechanical movement. The same was true in 1984, so Omega did make mechanical watches but they were more expensive and sold in lower numbers. This watch has the automatic calibre 1020 movement, with micrometer adjustment and quick set date. The day window is in English only and can not be quick set. The Omega logo on the dial has some slight discolouration, but the rest of the dial is good and is is sitting behind the original crystal with the Ω logo in the centre. The original bracelet, numbered 1502, is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown, crystal, and clasp.
