This second generation Dynamic is in great condition and complete with a long, original bracelet.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to 1984.
CONDITION
Many of these watches were finished in a black, PVD coating. This looked great new, but does wear and doesn’t flatter the watch as it gets older. Much nicer to find a stainless steel finish like this one. You can read more about model 196.0301 on Omega’s website. The dynamic was a range of watches originally launched in 1969, designed with a fresh sheet of paper to be outstanding to look at and comfortable to wear. Note the case in the Dynamic II is actually sloped towards the wearer, which does make some sense now you think about it.
This example is superb, and very difficult to fault. Comes with two spare links and pins, an Omega service case and a hangtag which is from a very similar model from the same year but not this watch (the serial number and model number printed on the tag doesn’t quite match the watch, but the 1430 movement does. This mix up may have happened in the jewellers back in 1984.)
SIZE
Approximately 35.6 mm wide including the signed crown, 8.8 mm thick at the thickest point. The bracelet will fit a maximum wrist size of approximately 190 mm, with the two extra links adding approximately 12mm if required.
