HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1984.
CONDITION
This unisex size is very 1984 – small was fashionable and also slim was the thing to have. This watch certainly scores on the thin side, easily qualifying as an ultrathin watch as it is under 5mm thick. The way the case lugs curve however doesn’t make it feel so flat on the wrist. Behind the screwed on case back is Omega’s calibre 1337 movement, which is all working well. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The bracelet is not the original Omega item, but is an aftermarket replacement – which is why this watch is priced so attractively. It might be difficult to replace the bracelet from the design used. The bracelet is full length and has a sliding clasp, meaning it can be sized without special tools or skills. But the dial is the main attraction here, with a gold graph paper pattern that reflects the light nicely as the watch is turned. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement and crown.
