An absolutely on trend watch for 1980, albeit rarer as it is not gold plated, this Seiko has a trick dial that people will love.  Model reference 5930-5300.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in August 1980.

CONDITION

The dial is the main attraction here.  The centre section is brushed, giving a completely different striped finish to the dial that the video shows beautifully.  Inside is Seiko’s calibre 5930a quartz movement, which is very slim and allows the case to measure just 5.5mm thick.  Many cases of this period would be a similar shape, but most are gold plated in one way or another so a full stainless case is harder to find.   We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred.  The watch is signed on the dial, case, and movement.

This watch will be supplied with our branded and reusable zipped travel case and cleaning cloth, and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
