A rather handsome men’s Omega De Ville model, that wears larger than the case size would suggest. Model reference 192.0049.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1979. 1979 was the year this model was first introduced according to Omega’s own website.
CONDITION
The De Ville range was always Omega’s dressier watch sub brand. This example has their calibre 1322 in house quartz movement, which has a couple of high end features over and above just great timekeeping. There is a pusher at 2 that can either stop the movement, or if repeatedly pressed advance the hands. This is to be able to precisely set the time. You can also set the hour hand independently, which is used either when crossing timezones or for clock changes, or to quick set the date by advancing the hours 24 hours very quickly. We will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour or material if preferred, and we have transferred the original buckle to the new strap too. The dial is clean, and a very dark grey coulor but it does look black in some lights. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and buckle.
