CONDITION
Quartz watches were first launched in 1969, and while they were initially very expensive the costs soon came down and manual winding watches like this Omega were seen as old fashioned. Now people want and collect the mechanical watches, so a mechanical 1978 Omega De Ville in this condition is a good find. The 17 jewel calibre 625 movement is running well. powered via the signed crown which des have some wear but is fully operational. The 20 micron gold plated case wears larger than the dimensions suggest, due to the squared off case design. It is in good condition except for the bottom lugs, which have lost some plating. The buckle is the signed original, as is the acrylic crystal. The dial is in very good order, as are the hands.
