A nicely original Tissot Seastar men’s automatic watch, in a 39mm stainless steel case. Model reference 44721.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1970.
CONDITION
If you are a fan or originality and clean condition then this Tissot should be on your list. It has the original parts that are sometimes replaced, such as the signed crown and correct bracelet, and the dial has never been painted or restored either. The smooth pebble style case is not showing any significant damage either. The movement is Tissot’s 21 jewel automatic, with the calibre number 784-2. It has semi quick set date, and is all running nicely. The Milanese style bracelet is quite long and has an extra long clasp, signed for Tissot on both the inside and outside, to help adjust to different wrist sizes, but is missing the very corner of the bracelet where it meets the case at 7 – the bracelet is secure and this is purely cosmetic. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and clasp.
