This Swiss Tissot PR516 watch has a little more than most, as the dial was co signed by high end retailer Turler. Model reference 41620.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969. We have found a similar watch advert in a Tissot book, that also shows this model on a different bracelet for 1969.
CONDITION
When you find any watch with a co signed dial, it adds a little more interest. Sure, a Tiffany stamped Rolex adds a lot more value too, but Turler dials are a little easier to find than that so don’t command such a premium. The dial itself is in nice condition, and we like the splash of red on 516. The PR part of PR516 stands for Particularly Robust, as this was their sports watch range. Inside the very good steel case is Tissot’s 17 jewel hand winding calibre 782.1 movement, which also has semi quickset date. This is wound via the signed crown. The Tissot bracelet is quite long and our sister website, SpareLinks.com, may have extra links if required. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The watch is signed on the dial, case, movement, crown and clasp.
