A unique 18k gold Omega Geneve men’s vintage watch with calibre 601 movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1969.
CONDITION
We were first attracted to the coin rim bezel on this watch, as we hadn’t seen this style on an Omega of this period before. There is a reason for this – the case has been custom made for the watch, and bears no brand names or case maker marks. The only engraving is 18k 0.750, and we have tested the case to ensure it does check as gold too. Whoever did make the case made a good job, and this cushion style case does wear larger than the dimensions suggest. The movement is working well, and has the last few digits of the serial number erased. The dial and hands are clean, and they sit under an acrylic glass. The winder is signed with the Omega logo. The leather strap is new. Because of the unique case you may never see another watch the same as this ever again – if it were an Omega case this would be worth more, despite being more common, but this 18k Geneve therefore is good value.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
