The Pan-Europ was such a popular model for Hamilton that they have made a re issue you can buy new today.  Model reference 64017-4.

We have the Passport style papers that came with this watch that are dated for November 1969.  The reference number has not been complete on the front cover, but all the other dating information we have for this watch is contemporary for 1969 too so we do not doubt the papers are related to the watch.  In 1969, the USA Lancaster factory closed and from this date all Hamilton watches (including this one) were made in Switzerland.

While a new Pan-Europ model starts at £1,070, the originals can be had for far less.   On this watch you get a 20 micron gold plated case with screw down case back, which was originally designed to be water resistant (but do not get any vintage watch wet!)  Inside you get a 21 jewel automatic calibre 64A movement, which is running nicely and has a semi quick set date at 6.   The dial is very good, and the hands still have the tritium lume inlay but also have signs of pitting.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box, Hamilton Passport style papers and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of and should not be used without permission.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon.  By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
