A simple, hand wound 1967 Omega with applied numbers for the man who likes quality, not complexity.  Model reference 131.0019.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967.

CONDITION

In 1967 Omega were on something of a high.  Their Speedmaster chronograph range had been chosen to be used on the Apollo space program, and the future of high gold prices and cheap quartz competition was unthinkable (At their lowest, Omega watches could be bought at discount from Argos and the company was eventually saved by being bought by Swatch).  But in 1967 Omega were concentrating on making watches as well as they could, rather than as cheaply as they could get away with.  One way this shows is in the calibre 601 movement, an in house 17 jewel  that is copper coated, even though you can’t see the movement unless you remove the case back.  It is  pleasure to wind, and with no calendar to worry about it is very easy to quickly pick this watch up, set it and enjoy it.  The dial is unrestored and has very light patina, but overall would be considered good.  The gold plated case shows some wear to the lugs tips and near the crown, but this looks worse in the photos than it does on the wrist.  The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
