HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1967. This model was introduced in the 1966 International collection according to Omega’s own website.
CONDITION
This watch is not the very best example on the market, but it is far from the worst and attractively priced for a solid gold Constellation. The case does have various marks and wear, but it is not polished and more collectors prefer honest watches to over polished watches. The textured dial is nice, and the black hands make it easier to read. The movement is Omega calibre 564, a 24 jewel chronometer rated automatic movement with quick set date. This works by pulling the signed crown out an extra stage, as shown in the video. The leather strap is a new Geckota oiled vintage style, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred – we used the brown one for the photos and the black one for the video, to show how different the watch looks on either strap. Originally the watch may have come on an 18k gold bracelet, and this has been replaced over the years – you can see witness marks where the bracelet touched the case.
This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

From 1st September 2021 we will be planting a tree for every watch we sell, working with the International Tree Foundation (Est 1922) to make this business positive on carbon. By buying anything pre owned you are effectively reusing what already exists, but this takes it further and makes us feel good.
