A nice and original Jamboree model from Longines, when the company was arguably at its peak. Model reference 6884-7.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the serial number on the movement we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1959.
CONDITION
The Jamboree model wasn’t around for a long time, and it is not completely clear where it sat alongside the Conquest and Flagship models (among others). We have found some adverts that we have shown alongside our photos. But you get a 35mm stainless steel case, with screw down case back. Inside this is a Longines calibre 280 manual winding movement with 17 jewels, ticking along nicely. This example of the Jamboree not only has a clean, un-restored dial with just light foxing, but also retains the signed crown and signed buckle too. On the down side the bottom lug has a slight bend, and the minute hands has lost some of the luminous material. The blue leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred.
