HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The Ebel Wave series was launched in 2014, but we can not find any reference to this model before 2016. Given that you can still buy this watch new, we think this watch was made circa 2017.
CONDITION
Ebel make high quality watches, but unlike some brands they focus on the external look and feel rather than the internals. The distinguishing feature of the Wave watches is the bracelet, that is not only very comfortable but a unique design to Ebel. The watch is similar to the Sportwave watches, but the Wave does without the visible screws on the bezel. This particular watch also have stick hands and hour markers rather than the roman numerals many Ebel watches use. The second hand hits the markers perfectly, the dial is a deep blue and is spun in a way that the light changes all the time. We don’t have box and papers for this watch, and the bracelet is maybe missing one link, but we are not asking £1,195 either. This is a used watch so there are very slight marks on the case and bracelet, but nothing drastic. A new battery will be fitted before the watch is sent out.
