A current model that retails at £1,000, this Longines L4.774.3 Flagship has the automatic movement and bi metal case and strap.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Sadly the paperwork wasn’t stamped when this watch was sold. But the model came out in 2014 and is still available at UK on line and high street jewellers for £1,000. So circa 2015 is a likely date.
CONDITION
We normally sell vintage watches, but when the opportunity arose to stock this we couldn’t say no. From a premium manufacturer at a sizeable discount to the new price, it was a no brainer.
The watch has been worn, and there are light scuff marks to the bezel and bracelet to testify to this, but otherwise the watch is very good. Fitted with a Longines L.619.2 movement (which is actually a version of the improved ETA 2892A2 automatic movement), this movement is decorated and visible via the exhibition caseback. Unusually for a modern watch the case, both in depth and height, is not the size of a dinner plate and therefore very wearable. Signed on the dial, crown, movement and butterfly clasp. The bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath, and we have also shown the watch fitted with a leather strap which gives the watch a different appearance. The box does have some storage marks.
