HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Looking at advertising and similar models we think this watch was made circa 1999. If you have nay other evidence then please do contact us and we would be happy to hear it.
CONDITION
Some people dismiss Ellesse as a fashion brand, but that would be unfair. The watch is all stainless steel, it has a 100m divers rating and a 120 click unidirectional bezel – these are not the specifications of a fashion watch. The Ronda movement features day and date on subdials, each with quick set pushers at 8 and 4 respectively, plus a proper moon phase at 6 (some watches will have a day/night indicator, that turns every 24 hours. This moon phase will turn every 29.5 days). The domed glass has a few small marks, but nothing bad enough to warrant a crystal change, and while the bezel does turn it is quite stiff. The solid link stainless steel bracelet is curved to fit around the wrist, and has been cleaning in our ultrasonic bath. A new battery will be fitted and the watch set up for your time zone before it is sent out.
