HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
Oris watches from this period do not have serial numbers on the case back, but we have a 1994 Oris catalogue with this exact model featured.
CONDITION
Personal engravings on case backs can put some people off, and to others it adds to the story of the watch. This Oris has an intriguing engraving, saying simply ‘Will You Marry Me?’ How that question went down we will never know, but the watch has been looked after. There is some plate loss to the crown, but the case is all good as is the dial and hands. The dial has a guilloche effect pattern feintly applied to the centre. The movement is a Unitas 6565, branded for Oris SA, which has seventeen jewels and is all working well. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. The original Oris signed buckle is fitted to the new strap.
