The Cartier Vendome Trinity uses a combination of yellow, white and rose 18k gold in the case. Model reference 881003.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
The hallmarks on the case are Swiss, and that doesn’t include any dating information. From looking at the surprising few that have sold with papers, this Vendome Trinity model appears to have been in stores between 1990 and 1994. We would like more information on model, but for now circa 1992 is a likely production date.
CONDITION
If you want a dress watch, then they really don’t come much dressier than the Cartier Vendome Trinity. The ‘rules’ for a dress watch have always been that it should be high quality, thin, discrete, leather strap and just two hands – all boxes are ticked with this one. Some men might find the ultra thin case too small in comparison with other watches in their collection, but this is how it was designed. The case is mainly yellow gold, but the bezel is built up with rings of white gold and rose gold, hence the trinity name. The central strap mounts also have the three golds featured. The dial is spotless, and classic Cartier. The movement used is a simple two hand set and forget Cartier calibre 81 quartz, and we will install a brand new battery before sending the watch out to the new owner. The leather strap is new, and could be swapped for a different colour if preferred. The buckle is the Cartier design, but they never signed them during this period. It is not likely to be solid gold, but gold plated – but it doesn’t show any wear marks.

This watch has been checked against the Watch Register and has not been reported as lost, stolen or implicated in fraud, and a copy of that certificate will also be included.
