A genuinely rare find, this Longines Conquest desk clock was likely used by authorised Longines dealers.  Model reference 7009

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We have a ladies Conquest with the same styling and papers from 1991, and we see no reason to think this clock would not be from the same period.

CONDITION

This is not a cheap promotional giveaway item, but a scaled up version f the watch that is very true to the wristwatch – it even uses the same ETA 7 jewel movement as the watches did.  At 84mm diameter it has a fixed base that angles the case at approximately forty degrees to make it ideal on a desk.  Don’t expect any cheap plastic either – the all metal case helps this weigh in at 440 grams.  Condition is very good for something of this age.  The initials RJ on the dial will likely be the shops name (such as Robinsons Jewelers).  One small quirk on this Swiss made clock is that because the movement inside is from a watch there is a date mechanism, and by pulling the crown out one position you can hear the date quick changing.  We will install a brand new battery before sending the clock out to the new owner.

This watch will be supplied with our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
