This Marvin Revue is typical of the time – slim, rectangular case, gold plated and quality ETA quartz movement.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
When we compare this watch to watches from 1985, the styling fits. To back this up the same movement in this watch was also found in some Tissot watches between 1983 and 1986, so 1985 seems very likely to be the year this watch was likely to have been made.
CONDITION
The watch is all in perfect working order, as we would expect from a quality brand like Marvin Revue. We have had several of their watches before, and never been disappointed. The slim case shows very little wear, and the polished bezel against the matt lugs is a very nice effect. The quick set date all works well, and the ETA 556.112 7 jewel movement is running well. The battery is new, as is the leather strap. It is always nice to have the original box with a vintage watch, and the only real negative on the watch that we can see is the small scratch on the glass between 6 and 7 hour markers.
