With ETA 2801-2 manual wind movement, this Ingersoll watch for the Blind is an interesting design.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

We can date this to circa 1985 from the movement production dates.  Sadly the paperwork isn’t completed, which would have made dating this watch a lot easier!

CONDITION

Designed for the blind, this watch features a flip up front to allow the blind to touch the dial and strong hands to tell the time.  It can also be used by those not wanting to let the boss know they are clock watching in meetings! Because of this design the dials tend to be very dirty, but this example is clean and legible. Fitted with an expandable bracelet as would have been the original specification (blind people can struggle sometimes with buckles, so the expanding bracelet was another deliberate design feature to make life easier.)

This watch will be supplied with the original presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

SIZE

36.6mm wide including the crown, 9.8mm thick. Takes an 18mm strap.

Included with this watch is a 1 month guarantee and free delivery to UK addresses.  If you live outside the UK we can still deliver to most countries.  Please see our Worldwide Shipping information, or Contact Us.
