This new old stock (NOS) Transglobe watch is a simple dress watch in as good condition as you could hope for a fifty year old watch.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
This watch came from a family jewellers who changed which watch brands they sold in 1975, and we bought the remaining stock from them 50 years later! It may be older than 1975, but it will not be newer and it was available to buy in 1975.
CONDITION
This watch is New Old Stock (NOS), and as such has never been sold and has probably only been worn for our photography. There may be small marks from being stored, but otherwise the condition is as good as you are likely to find. The shop price tag is still attached, and back in 1975 this was £27.00. Transglobe isn’t a major watch brand, but that helps keep the cost down on the used market. Not that this watch has actually been used! The case is 20 micron gold plated, not the standard 10 micron. The movement is an ST96, a seventeen jewel manual wind calibre that is working well. There is nothing negative to report!
