This Stellaris Electronic Transistorized watch would have been sold by Sears-Roebuck stores in the USA, and combines interesting horology with eye catching design.

HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?

The ESA 9157 electronic movement was one of the last electronic watch movements released, and that was in 1975.  Because it was quite short lived (quartz movements were cheaper to make) we can say that this watch was made circa 1975.

CONDITION

The oval case is the first thing to comment on, as it is one of the watches most eye catching features.  It is not a design you see too often, but they do work well on the wrist.   Stellaris were never the highest quality watches, and the chrome on the case does show some marks, particularly on the lug tips.  But this is not an expensive Swiss watch now either.  The dial is quite clean, and the blue minute track has been complimented with the blue nylon strap we have fitted.  You could choose a more conservative strap if you wanted.  The movement is running fine, and a new battery will be fitted before this is sent out.

This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.

Please see the HD video for more detail.  All photos and videos are part of the description and are of the actual watch unless mentioned.  We do not photoshop any pictures, and the images are copyright of birthyearwatches.com and should not be used without permission.
