This ladies Sorna direct read, or digital, watch has revolving discs to show the time and has never been worn before.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From looking at various sources of watch catalogues of the period, these direct read watches seem to have been most popular between 1972 and 1978. We can not find a good source for this particular model, but circa 1975 will be about right. Sorna was registered as a business in May 1973, so this watch could not be made earlier than that date.
CONDITION
The watch is in NOS (New Old Stock) condition. This means it has sat in a drawer or cupboard for 40+ years, unsold and unworn. The brown suede strap has a slight kink in it where it has sat unused. The hand winding, 17 jewel movement is running well and will be oiled before being sent out. The gold plating is perfect, and the watch still has most of the sticker on the case back where it has never been removed.
This watch will be supplied with a presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
