Still fitted with the original strap, this Edox has not had a hard life at all.
HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH?
From the production dates of the movement (1969-1976) we have estimated this watch was produced in the middle of those years. With no serial number database to check for Edox we can only say circa 1973 for this watch, but we were not going to turn it down just because it is difficult to date accurately.
CONDITION
The stainless steel case is in the Constellation style, with thick, strong lugs that echoed the design of that Omega. The movement is the AS2066, which has quick set date and day although on this example the quick set day is a bit sticky. It is not an issue though as the watch turns the calendar over at midnight perfectly, as demonstrated in the video. The dial is in fantastic condition, and the very fine 1/5th second markers a nice sign of quality. the white hands provide excellent contrast and legibility too. The leather strap is is the original item, which was signed Edox on the inside and on the buckle, and we have reconditioned the strap. Unfortunately when we cleaned the strap the Edox markings cleaned off too, but we can always swap the strap for a new strap in a colour of your choosing if you don’t like this one,
